Hi all, I searched for a similar thread with no success. Please feel free to comment/rate from 1 to 10 the following missing features, and/or add more: refrigerated armrest space + self lowering right rear mirror when in reverse + light for blind spot placed inside and blinking (instead of fixed and integrated in the rear mirror) tires temperature (I saw it in a MG and made me very jealous) rear air conditioning vents rear folding windows shades PS I was thinking that #2 could be introduced quite easily in a future software update....(maybe #4 as well?)
I have found a couple window shades searching japanese web sites selling prius accesories. Thought they looked interesting. Here are a few. Haven't bought any myself but considering it. Snapshades - currently out of stock aliexpress gorsla amazon japan cartist amazon japan
1 - I like. That's a cool idea. 2 - The car has enough cameras - at least at the trim level I have - that that becomes almost redundant for me. 3 - Nice idea as well - I've yet to train myself to look at that corner of the mirror but maybe when I do - this would become less important? And, in the bright sun, it really doesn't grab attention. Which is weird - I certainly see other cars' blind spot warnings - on their mirrors - when I drive by. 4 - Tire temp? Well, to be honest, I'm rarely in a situation where I'm pushing my car hard enough that I care about tire temp. Pressure is a reasonable proxy, isn't it? 5 - Rear HVAC, in general: Yes, I suppose, though I never sit there 6 - Rear shades - again, though I don't sit there, I was wow'd a bit by a Hyundai Ioniq 5's integrated rear window shades My adds? -How about dual climate control? -Another multimedia USB data port - maybe in the glovebox, that I could just plug my giant thumb drive of music into - rather than the single one that I have to keep a cable in so I can connect my phone when Android fails to auto connect. Again. -More user control over the multi-media system - layout features and functions - I will probably never use the Toyota mapping system, satellite radio or the Toyota assistant - but look at the dedicated screen real estate. I do adjust the equalizer - depending on what I'm listening to - and that stuff is positively buried in the settings. Presets for that would be nice. Every time I use the onboard radio, it's a new lesson in trying to find the tuner - I've downloaded a radio app for my phone so I can easily listen to broadcast radio in the car -Better manuals: That address how some of this stuff works. Maybe even what the intention is. Example: What does the Solar Roof actually charge? How, when? The currently available manuals seem to be chock full of warnings and cautions with very little content. Very little why stuff. Another example: I'd read the manual twice before I took delivery and still had no idea that traffic jam assist just worked. It's not something that you need to expressly activate - if the conditions are met, it just does. -Better seats - longer lower cushion/adjustable thigh support. I realize that I am - undoubtedly - on the larger size of the Prius design curve (6'4"), but even my BRZ had more supportive seats. -Power passenger seat, with memory. -Longer reach adjustment on the steering wheel -Different location of the driver monitoring camera - it's easy to block with the ol' one hand at the top of the wheel steering position that seems to be my default for longer drives -A running log, somewhere accessible, of all the beeps and bloops, cautions and warnings, that the car makes -It's a bit frustrating to have the car 'beep', look down and notice that the message as to why it just beeped is...now cleared from the info display. -Lane Change Assist: If you use it, it will caution you to look around to ensure that it is safe to change lanes. =>Should you actually turn your head to check your mirrors, the lane change assist will cancel..because you are no longer paying attention to the road. Oh, i've got ideas
5. air conditioning vents in the rear. Although there are already air conditioning vents, under the 2 front seats, for the rear passengers...
