As I'm driving, all of the sudden the warning lights go on; I had to drive about two blocks to pull off the road, but then was able to pull off, but the power was lessening. The power is totaly off, and when the power button is pushed, no response. Now what?

In an '08? If you didn't run out of gas and/or drain the 12V
battery, the dealer should be right there to help... get them to
pull codes and see what happened.

Sounds like you ran out of gas...if that's a possibility then add gas and try again. If that is not possible thene have it towed to the dealer and fixed.
Please updated your profile so we know what car you have. Letting us know how long you've had the car (miles on ODO) and a few more details goes a long way to helping you, otherwise you'll get a ton of random guesses of little value.
Knowing what you did after the car died would be nice too...

Agree to updating profile, also package 9 doesnt exist on a 2008. But your suggestion to add gas assumes that the vehicle and driver are still in the same spot some 6 hours after his post.

I believe the accelerator pedal problem was only on the 01-03 Prius.

Say kadinZ, if "American" had delivered on these types of high mpg car in the first place, then most of us douche bags would have probably bought American.

By the way, I feel the luuuv.
