water resistant key fob

    i know the lexus key fob is water resistant... so i'm assuming the prius one is also the same way... anyone know?

    Sure is.... the button battery compartment is secured by 4 tiny Phillips screws and an O-ring. :D

    There are some recent posts about fobs going through washing machines and worse and still work.

    that's exactly how someone from the lexus forum found out bout it being water resistant...

    I went swimming last summer and forgot to leave the keys with the beach bag. Was in the water for several minutes before I realized I had the keys. I have had no problems so far since. Looks like Toyota thought ahead on this one.
