You can get them from TOYOTA online - download a PDF file. There are a few of them - Owners, Nav, Entertainment, Service/Warranty - not sure what the proper names are.

It’s relatively easy to break the 60 barrier with steady driving.

And anyway, having the PDFs on your phone beats having the paper books in the glove box—you get the glove box space to store stuff, and the PDFs are searchable.

Helminc seems to be the usual source, Toyota website links to them:

    Toyota Prius 2016

the two manuals (paper versions) you mention are $40 apiece.

I’d second getting the PDF versions, but yeah: paper is nice too.

    That's what I was thinking.

Our 2017 (Gen 4, Trim three) gets about 55mpg at 70-75mph long cruise runs.
For long interstate runs - 100+ miles nonstop - you're at 0% EV mode, so it's all about the efficiency of the ICE that dictates your MPG.

I can easily eek out 63MPG "around town" (rural).

But since both of those numbers beat EPA ratings - you won't hear me complaining!

60 MPG just isn't for normal folks. I'm getting about 42 MPG, and am happy enough at that; any other vehicle would probably be under 20 MPG with the highway commuting speeds.

I achieved 60 MPG once, but doing so would mean being a major pain in the behind to other drivers if I wasn't out in the middle of nowhere. Don't be the Prius driver who gave the car the bad name like the Gen3 and Gen2 drivers did - don't be a speed impediment and danger to the flow of traffic. Treat it like a normal car, and enjoy getting over 40 MPG.

Are you going 100 miles per hour or what? Your profile says you have the Eco model as well.

Honestly...getting EPA or better isn't hard at all. Even in my 2012 Prius v wagon (pictured to the left), which is the heaviest of the Prius family with the lowest EPA MPG rating, I am getting 44 MPG now ( in the summer ). This is with an aging battery with 165K or so miles on it. And I'm not 'that driver'. I more than keep up with traffic on the freeway but I'll admit...people are not driving 90-100 on the freeway around here though. (y) However, I do try to 'glide' as far as possible on city roads when nobody is behind me. And it is much harder to do with the Prius v (wagon) than our liftback was...I can feel the extra 200+ pounds on the v.

You don't have to be an owner to download the "Owner's Manual". The link @Prodigyplace posted on #71 will let you download one for 2016 Prius, but you can download any year model owner's manual from the link @jerrymildred listed. No need to register as an owner to download the manual.

BTW - This Toyota Owners VIN checker tool was very helpful while I was shopping for Toyota vehicles over the last couple weeks. No account is necessary :

    Vehicle Specification | Toyota Owners

In fact, the seller insisted the Prius C I ended up purchasing was a ONE model...and the Vin checker said it was a TWO. Sure enough...it's a TWO. (y)

It would have been fine if it had showed on my feed before I responded. A bunch of stuff showed up after I responded. (shrug shoulders emoticon needed here )
