Weight distribution front and back

    Does anyone know the weigh distribution of a Prius? In percent or by pounds.

    How much weight is on the front wheels?

    How much weight is on the back wheels?

    If you want specifics, I am referring to an empty car. Thanks. Just wondering and thinking about tire pressure. :)

    Following data is shown my 2010 JP Prius G model (empty:no passenger) inspection sheet.
    Front: 830kg
    Rear: 530kg
    Total: 1,360kg

    According to the Consumer Reports road test it's 60/40 but Ken's numbers indicate a bit more on the front. Curb weight is listed at 3042 by Toyota; 3115 by Consumer Reports. Ken's car @ 1360 Kg would be about 2992 lbs.

    My car (PriusV) weighs 3400 +or- 50 on the truck scale with me (185 lbs) and about 10 gallons of fuel and, I would estimate, less than 100 lbs of "junk".

    The Toyo tires that came on my car are rated at 1201 lbs each at 51 psi. I think even at the Toyota recommended pressure they would be fine, since I normally keep them at 46 psi I wouldn't be able to get enough stuff in the car to overload the tires.

    In a street car a pound or two one way or the other simply doesn't matter, if you don't believe that try it and see if you can tell the difference. Most tire pressure gauges are probably off further than that.

    Prius door sticker says the tire pressure just on a single condition, front 240kPa/35PSI, rear 230kPa/33PSI.
    VW Golf sticker says as attached photo.

    I was just making sure if what Toyota tells us is correct. For example, if the answer was 70% front and 30% rear, or 50%/50%, 42/40 may not be the best idea.

    Just checking. Recalculating only if the numbers are way off of what I expect. That's all.
