Since I can't view my trip and odo at the same time, I find myself on trip most of the time, so i can monitor my gas useage. Just curious to see what you guys/gals do too.

I just look at ODO, because I use the MFD average to monitor fuel usage -- it works as a trip odometer the way I see it ...

Just the ODO. Never use the trip minders. Just monitor the consumption screen and record the odo, etc at fillup.

Odometer only, except when I'm traveling or I want to measure a road segment to a tenth of a mile. My ScanGauge normally handles my trip distance reporting for me.

There was no choice for "either trip A or B. I don't remember." That's what I'd have answered. I reset them both at the same time when filling up and don't remember which of the two I look at.

I accidentally hit the [Reset] button once and had no clue what the tank mileage was. That might seem trivial to people, but ever since I started keeping my chart (in the sig) I work to maintain accuracy and consistency. When I fub a tank I get a little irritated with myself. So the Trip A gets reset at every refill and acts as a back-up to the MFD.

It varies. Depends on where I left it last.

ODO normally. If I'm making a trip and want to see the milage of that trip alone, I'll use either Trip A or B.

I leave it on ODO so I remember to change the oil etc. But, I reset A every time I fill up with gas and use it to manually calculate MPG. B is reserved for special trips.

At 20k miles I zeroed both my A and B trip. I use A normally, and only switch to ODO temporarily, if I want to confirm total mileage. Right now, I just add 40k miles to my A trip meter.

I am kind of weird and dont ever reset my trip A, when I buy new cars I like the trip A to show the 10ths of a mile that the ODO doesn't show. and trip B is for my tank mileage records

And what does knowing the final tenth bring to the table?

Why not a CAN-view or something similar to track hundreds and thousandths?

Nothing really. I'm sure I'll reset Trip A at some point when I need it. Just haven't needed 2 trips meters yet.
