What are the terms and costs?
Do you get free life time oil change?

Mine is great. I agree to maintain my vehicle myself in accordance with Toyotas recomendation and document it in the book.

Does it include synthetic oil or is there a surcharge?

that is ridiculous. Looking at my maintenance passport book I have spent for
    for 60,000 miles
9 oil changes average price $20 - $25 each (all synthetic do it myself)
2 Engine Air Filters (30,000 miles) $15 each
    2 Cabin Filters (30,000 miles) $15 each
Transmission Fluid change (60,000 Miles) $37 (do it myself)
    Thats it.

    Add that up

Thanks, looks like it not worth it if you DIY! AFAIK, its normal oil (0-20) and the oil filter and not synthetic and does not include the cabin filter. In addition, it also includes the major 15K, 30K and 45K miles services.

there isn't any major service at other then inspect this and inspect that. It really is a low maintenance vehicle. Its not like its a German car that needs major maintenance.

Do you know if the Gen III 2010 Prius has a timing belt which need to be replaced at 60K miles?

    From the Toyota Webiste:
If your vehicle is equipped with a timing chain rather than a timing belt, there is no prescribed replacement interval. To determine if your vehicle has a timing belt or timing chain, please reference the FAQ below:
    Prius2001-20084 CylinderChain

I am guessing that the 1010 has a chain also, and therefore does not need to be changed out.
