What I did on my Birthday

    Sunday was my birthday, so I drove up Highway 1 with my sports car friends. Couldn't take my Prius because only cars pre-1974 are allowed.
    After the rains, the coast was clear and Malibu was chilly but the Pacific Ocean was beautiful, the air crisp and the ideal condition to drive a classic sports car.
    There were 2 Porsche 356 Speedsters, a Ferrari 335GTC, a 289 Shelby Cobra, a 1959 Corvette Roadster and a 1956 Mercedes 300SL. We drove up the coast and then into the Santa Monica Mountans for some winding twisties. One of my friends just got his TESLA last week and brought it out. It was real fast and quiet. He loves it so far. Later a Ferrari 275GTB4 joined us. These are the definitely the "cars that make me smile"
