I have now owned my 2007 Prius for 2 months, I bought it used. I brought it in for a checkup and was told it was a PKG 4.

I would like to know what is the difference between a pkg 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6?
I know that the tourning has a different suspension and tires.

Mine is a 2007 package 4. Off the top of my head, package 4 came with:

    HID headlights
    foglights
auto-dimming rear view mirror with homelink
upgraded JBL stereo (more speakers) with 6-cd in-dash changer

Package 6 added leather seats and built-in nav system.

I think VSC and the smart key system came with package 2.

I found the answer to the different options, I went and got a Toyota Hybrid Prius book at the dealership.

So if anyone else is interested in knowing the differences here they go.

    Smart Key System
    Backup Camera
    Vehicle Stability Control (VSC)

    Pkg #3
Same as above with these added on:
Anti theft system and auto dimming rearview mirror with Homelink universal transceiver
JBL am/fm 6 disc in dash cd changer with nine speakers in seven locations auxiliary audio jack, mp3/wma playback capability, satelite radio capability and hands free pone capability via Bluetooth technology

    Pkg #4
Same as above with these added on:
High Intensity Discharge (HD) headlamps and intergrated fog lamps

    Pkg #5
Same as above with these added on:
    Voice activated DVD navigation system

    Pkg #6

Also, for any particular model year, you can find out what equipment was standard and what options were available by looking at the Prius eBrochure for that year.

Here are the individual links for each year's eBrochure:
