    Hi

I have a friend with a Gen 1 that won't start after sitting. ECU considers the pack disconnected. 12v brand new. What is the easiest way to get it going without removing the pack?

We were joking about a "Prius jump" using my pack but that just sounds dangerous. High voltage and high amps. Could this be done with a simple current limiter?

The dealer needs to order a special charger as even they do not keep one on hand. I have seen someone document on Prius Chat a method that entails disassembling the battery pack and charging modules one by one. Good Luck and don't fry yourself.;)

    How was this diagnosed?

Does the battery controller respond with anything?

We have seen various cases of interlock failures. Also ECU/immobilized issues. But the first thing I would want to understand is if the battery ECU is responding.

    Welcome back!
