What is the sensor in the grille of the 23 Prius?

    The title of this post pretty much covers my question. What I want to do is add a "Knight Rider" light bar in the grille, but I want to make sure the sensor in the black grille won't be affected. It is just a LED strip in a water proof clear plastic cover. Maybe 1/2 inch tall at best. If you think it would affect the sensor, then ideas on where to put the light strip would be helpful. It is 24'' long.

    It is likely the radar for the cruise control and auto braking.
