I replaced the stock radio/cd player.
When I took it out, I found this plug attached to a metal bar behind it. It was not connected to the old unit.

Anyone know what it is for - maybe in a higher end Prius?

Could it be the GPS antenna?

The same wiring harness may be assembled into all the models.

Maybe for Bluetooth if your steering wheel had the phone buttons.

I'd vote GPS antenna as well. The rest of the connections (Bluetooth, line-out, etc.) would be a common AVC-LAN plug.
