Was adding some windshield wiper fluid to my 2012 Prius when I noticed this rubbery gasket thingie just sitting there by itself underneath the windshield wiper vent area.

What is this? Where did it come from? Is it part of the car or something?

93 views and still nobody knows. Maybe it isn't a Prius part?

Sorry. I viewed, but have no idea. I can tell you that it isn't part of the windshield cowl assembly. Have you ever had any work done to the car?

probably a gift from your dealer mechanic, who forgot to reinstall on someone else's car.

My guess is that it's a gasket from some car's side-marker light assembly.

    Curious.
Yeah- did you have any recent work done?
And/Or what area did you discover this part?

That might help narrow it down.

Should be able to Google the part number on the part to find out what it is. It could have been thrown into your car by the tire of another passing car.

PP/EDPM is the material it's made from. Agree with others, looks like a light assembly "lens" seal/gasket.

Thanks for all the response guys. Yes - I had work done on this car at a body shop - they fixed the back bumper... Not sure why they would leave this in the front-trunk though...

From what I am reading - consensus is this is a light assembly lens seal/gasket... Is it even part of the car at all then? Cause the place I found it was nowhere near any of the lights - and its definitely not in the shape of any of the lights on the car...

No-one here has recognized it as a Prius part, and some of these guys have a lot of knowledge. You could try asking Luscious Garage through their website or Facebook page, but it's most likely not a Prius part.
