What just fell out of the bottom of my gen 2 Prius (2007)?

    I started to hear a rhythmic scraping sound and within a few minutes these things fell out. The car continued to drive normally with the exception that the rear passenger side vent made a lot more noise than normal. IMG_20180930_185718.jpeg

    If the vent in question is in the upper left corner of the rear passenger seat area, that would be the intake for the HV battery fan. If you can here it running, that means the HV battery is getting hot, overheating or potentially already damaged. If you must drive it, I wouldn't recommend driving it for long distances or when hot outside (over 70F).
