I know every 10k to get an oil change and every 5k to get a tire rotation.

what else should I be looking out for? I'm disabled and don't drive much or leave the house and only have 8k miles on my 2012 C.

any fluids, belts, or batteries need to be changed over time?

I'm gonna have to look at my manual again.
I thought the 5K interval was for oil AND tire rotation.
Did you not get a maintenance book with your car ??

you got the air filter at 15,000 miles and the cabin air filter at 30,000 miles i believe. some folk like to do a tranny change early on and every so often if you're planning on keeping the car for the long haul. it's supposed to be lifetime, but testing has shown contamination that makes it worthwhile. i like to change my oil after 5,000 and then every 10,000 after.

is the manual in case you misplaced yours. the maintenance schedule starts on page 38 of the PDF, page 36 of the manual.

I would add an Automatic Transmission Fluid drain and fill at 30,000 miles and then every 60,000 miles if it was me. (about $100 at a dealership) Other than that the manual lists about everything, do not let the deal add 'extras'.

Every 10,000 miles is the right Oil Change Interval for the USA. (Unless you make short trips in cold weather)

Air filters should be inspected at each service visit.......because the driving conditions vary so widely.
In Florida, sometimes they become plugged with "Love Bugs".

Per Easy Rider: did you get the maintenance booklet?

One not mentioned so far is brakes. Your booklet likely outlines brake inspection interval. There's typical a quick check alternating with a more in-depth inspection. That said, with the hybrids the brakes don't get much of a workout, so the intervals can be stretched.

I talked to our dealership's service manager and he suggested tri-yearly, especially if you're going on a lot of salted roads, or up ski hills.

Our Canadian gen 3 maintenance booklet is hopelessly convoluted, covers ALL Toyota vehicles in one blanket statement. Very difficult to read.

The US booklet outlines specifically what's needed at each service, but the format makes it very hard to read the patterns, ie: oil and filter every 12 mo or 10000 miles, engine air filter every...

FWIW, I made a spreadsheet table of what's happening when. Keep in mind it's for regular 3rd gen prius, but should give you an idea:

We are talking an inspection here.
IMHO, there is no reason to NOT inspect the brakes every time the tires are
    rotated.
It typically takes about 30 seconds per wheel.
