    Gender is occasionally stated in posts, or revealed by "my husband...". But sometimes at least I am surprised when a woman's gender is revealed after I've read several of her posts and thought it was a male.

    Disclaimer: I'm not sexist, but "car talk" is, after all, mostly a guy thing. And I'm of course aware that there have been many enthusiastic and knowledgeable females offering input on this and other Prius boards.

    I just wonder if it's even more than I suspect.

    Living in Northern Virginia, we see a lot of Prii on the road. My unscientific observation has been that the drivers are about 1/3 women.

    Not all of us females hang around PriusChat all day (grin).
    Actually in my drives up the 405 to LA, it is about 40/60 (males) .

    Our Orange County Prius Club is about that - but that would be expected since some females would not be attacted to a car club.

    i think its unfair to not have a selection that says one of each for a situation where the Prius is shared amongst a couple or two of one option

    we should also ask are there any couples here and do they have two logins or share one?

    how many gays?

    or is that out of line?

    but if you are gay you are still either a male or female, gays can just vote for who they feel they are, no extra category needed
