I am looking for 2010 pagake 3 with navi only. I live in Southern California and been shopping for a few weeks but cant get a good deal. The best I have been quoted is $28500.00 out the door with orange county tax rate.

All I can say is that the best I could find was a little over $2k off list for a Blizzard Pearl IV with solar, mats, wheel locks and applique. Got it at Longo Toyota in El Monte. I didn't do a lot of shopping/haggling. So, you may be able to do a bit better.

If you were willing to go without navigation, and buy one with 1,500 miles on it - truly like new - I've got one for you at $20,000. I'm relocating to Boston and planning to trade it for an all-wheel drive vehicle. But of course, I'm in Texas and you're in southern CA.

Go to www.aaa.com to build a car & get quotes. Are you close to Diane W.'s dealership?

I just bought a 2010 Prius III with Nav (MSRP $26,800) for $23,900.

My negotiating tactic was to ask for 0% APR (already knowing that it isn't being offered), and in the negotiation, they offered to reduce the price by the amount of interest I would be paying.

I am almost signing a lease now on a package III with navigation. Price 25217,- incl. acquisition fee (650,-).
700,- drive off incl. first month lease + DMV fees.
Monthly payment 255 dollars incl. tax.
    36.000 miles/36 months
    Residual value 17761,-

I think it is a pretty good deal (?) - but after negotiating / being in the shop for 4 hours yesterday (!!!) I was quite feed up in my head so I'm not sure anymore.

Can anyone advice me on the maintenance packages that they suddenly introduced to me? Is it a must to take maintenance packages on top (the price went up to 310-350 dollars a month)? It's my first leased car and I'm a bit lost here...

    Thanks,
    Helene

All you need are oil & filter changes over the life of the lease. It will be cheaper to pay for what you need when you need it.

Thanks for your reply - but the lady said that the car requires 1500 dollars maintenance (oil, filter and then a big service) over the three years and that it would safe me 500 dollars to buy her package (I really dont see how - min. package appr. 50 dollars a month times 36 = 1800 dollars!)
