As we are approaching the peak of Florida hurricane season, with me having no experience with a Prius in a bad storm with water over roads with high winds etc. I feel a little insecure wondering how the car would fare. In our area of Florida the last really bad storms were in 05 and 06. Of course I have a Tundra SR5 extended cab if it gets very bad, But I am a little unsure of all the electrical connectors if they get wet in our Prius. So what can you tell me?

Avoid drivving very fast in high winds. The car gets buffeted pretty bad and can feel like a handful. Keep your tires aired up properly for best traction and handling in emergency situations. Otherwise it's no different than any other car.

All connectors that are exposed to water are waterproof.
The Prius won't float. Don't drive it into deep water. ;)
