I am curious about what sun guard I can buy for the expansive Prius windshield. Regular ones are too small. It fit the truck windshield just fine though.

Sunshield bought here at PriusChat Shop. Custom form fitted and insulated. The button for the shop is at top of the page. 6 years later still looks good. Worlds best window shield.

    Supports this site also.

I bought one for $4 from Autozone made for 'compacts' when I had my Civic. It fits my Prius fine.

The Sunshield mentioned here is terrific - excellent fit, does a tremendous job blocking out the windshield. It is, however, bulky and unwieldy. Not difficult to install, but somewhat annoying to uninstall and roll back up, and it takes a considerable amount of space compared to smaller, collapsible, inferior ones.

While it IS the best sunshade I've ever owned, and I am not about to get rid of it... it is NOT a good sunshade if you have to do a bunch of quick getaways.

That said, you do own a Prius. So you're probably not in the getaway biz.

I have all the sunshades (all around). Little triangular side windows are strange, but work. I just replaced the front windshield shade. Worst thing about these shades are the "suction cup" holders. The hatch sunshade holders ripped off in the first use (and I was being gentle). The sunshades work great, but the car still heats up in summer from heat absorbed through the roof.

The latest front windshield sunshade is a significant improvement over the previous one obtained in 2007.

:)I liked my custom fit Prius sun shade so much, I cut it into two shades for the left side windows. Too much hassle to install and roll up/fold up. Bought a jumbo shade from Wal*mart for the front window.
