About a week ago, after 140K miles of flawless service, our 2010 model 5 Prius baby finally got sick - the dreaded "check hybrid system" message came on and we dutifully stopped driving and took it to the dealer service department. They "performed instrument panel, gauge, and warning indicator diagnosis procedure" and then replaced the purge VSV valve and the 2PC AWM(2 spaces of something - their printer was weak)RAV4. The cost of the replacement parts was $151.00 and the labor involved was $312.00. They then "reset all ecus and learned values". After the repairs, the car seems to run just fine.

The service manager I talked to couldn't describe exactly what these replaced parts were, and the Prius tech (only one in the entire establishment) was swamped, so I thought I would inquire in this forum. Anybody know what these things are? - Thanks

Just googling and looking through my pdf Repair Manual, it's Vacuum Switching Valve, part of the evaporative emissions control circuit.
