I'm curious how many out there will be trading in... I've never traded in a car but think this time I might.

I expect to trade my 2009 Prius in on a 2029 Prius, I am not sure what model, but I have faith it will be named something confusing. Perhaps the Toyota v Prius which is not to be confused with the Toyota Prius v.

The "Hover" cars should be out by 2029, with antigravity drive, which replaced Hybrid Synergy Drive in 2022 :)

OK, interesting so far... Some far-thinking individuals I see.

The AWD hybrid SUV is our fuel pig - at 30mpg. Throw studs on it during winter and it handles Ice and deep slush pretty decently. But I think it knows that its number is up. The 400h will be the sacrificial lamb . . . . . . . . either that, or we'll be installing one of the two different after market PHEV kits into the beast. So, how come the poll doesn't include, "Trading in other hybrid"??

I'm going to sell the old green blur. Namely my 2007 Prius in silverpine mica with bisque leather... Nav, the works back then.
    has 155k on her.
Since 113k she's had a new transmission installed, a new ecu, a new catalytic converter, and brakes. Only been rear-ended once. Maybe I should rename her Lucky! ;)

Anyway, she's been very well maintained. I have Hov stickers and had to rely on her daily for commute.

I guess it's going to go pretty soon. :)

I'm on the fence for color as yet. Gray is *possibly* out for me. So is silver. That leaves pearl white, but I'd rather do white with bisque. I'm having a hard time picturing the green with a dark gray interior. That may leave me back to blue or gray. I'll only do gray if my son trades his gray 2010 for a new 2012 Prius as he plans. Is that tmi? Rofl!

    Thanks for askin!

I'm not sure I can afford it but if I can't then my 2005 will be traded in. it's kind of hard to get top dollar on a modified Prius though. Maybe Dianne can help me out when the time is right. :)

The blue is really growing on me. Of course, I have had 2 silver Prius over the past 8 years. So, the refresh & plug-in new looks are a draw anyway. I like the chrome strips & handles... the black spoiler... the new brake lights... the blue tint to the headlights.

I'll admit miss having a glass roof to open, but the plug part trumps it all. It's hard to believe that 11 years have went by already, yet the "new Prius" experience lives on. 4th time is a charm, eh?

Aww man. Although your car is very nice, that is the one color I wouldn't consider. It's like when some people hate red or black colored-cars. lol

I 'd enjoy driving it from Houston to LA for you though!

Yeah, it's an acquired taste, but I like being different. Shipping is going to cost at least $650, maybe $800. Maybe I'll ask Dianne what she'll give me for trade-in!

I will trade in if I can't sell privately. I'll get a trade-in approximation during the order, and then a month or so before my car comes in I'll try to sell it privately for trade-in + 2k or something, and settle for trade-in + 1k. If not, I'll just trade it in. Luckily, I live pretty close to work so I can survive without a car for a little while if I have to.

Anyone want to buy a 2008 Galaxy Grey Mazda Miata Grand Touring w/Power Hardtop 6 speed manual transmission, 44k miles sometime next year hopefully around march? ;)

I hate to think of handing over Priapus. He's been good to me for seven years.

Whether I trade in or sell privately depends on where I get the better deal. Trading in reduces the overall sale price which lowers the taxes so selling privately would have to compete with that.

I'm also debating whether to become a true early adapter and drive (or fly) to a roll-out state in 2012 or wait until 2013 and buy local.
