Whats My Prius worth?

I'm struggling with the same question, Rubyp. Kelly Blue Book is different than what NADA says, which is different than what you get on Edmunds. And then when you look on Ebay, they seem to not be pricing very high or well. Autotrader seems to sell on the high range.

And then there's the chance/market value/gas price factor. I've been trying to sell my '04 for about a week and the only thing that's worked (so far) is someone walking by my car and seeing the for sale sign.

I haven't seen too many 04's for sale; Maybe I'm pricing it too high? I have no clue. If you google the sites I noted above, it will be a good starting point for you to determine how to price your car. Good luck!

Yahoo will give you an idea of trade in value to a dealer and what private party sales are going for in your area for a similar car.

 

This isn't a "what can I sell it for" thread, he's looking for someone to pay nearly new value...

What makes you say this? I haven't seen any indication of that. He asked what it's worth and what he can sell it for, and listed the features.

hahaha, sounds like he has never sold a car before. If he has the average milage on his, (just ball parking here from my head) I'd say its worth around 23-24k.

Money spend on mods do NOT increase the value of the car, they DECREASE it.

I am sorry to advise you that your asking price is unrealistic. According to www.kbb.com, the Blue Book private party value for a 2006 Prius, package 6 with 14,000 miles, in excellent condition in Flushing, NY (I used Zip code 11351) is several thousand dollars below what you are asking.

 

I would bet that that $3150 tax credit you got was pretty nice also. Trying to sell a used car at new car price. GOOD LUCK and GOOD BYE.
