What do I care what their expenses are? That has nothing to do with me. $8.75 for a battery that is worth only 2-3 bucks is a rip off (obviously!)

Latte machine :))))), of course is a rip off. There is a video on youtube how to replace the battery. I think it was the easiest job i ever made according to car repairs so far.

Did you get a battery, or did you get a battery installed?

Don't blame them. You could have done it yourself much quicker and cheaper at home, as people here suggested. But you chose to go pay someone $20-30/hour plus all the business overhead costs to do it for you. While you drank their free beverage.

I had to replace my fob battery a couple of years ago. I think it cost $5 and took 3 minutes after watching a YouTube video. :)

...do these batteries actually last a good while for most of you?

It's usually less than a week from when I replace it that the car starts telling me it's low (but continues to use it for a month or so, telling me that every day)...I started out using nice batteries, but since it was eating them like candy I picked up a big chunk of them on eBay for cheap, since battery quality didn't seem to have much, if any, affect on length of usage...

My 1st fob battery didn't even last 1 year new from the dealer. The cheap Amazon battery i replaced it with is going on 4 years now. The fob doesn't use a lot of battery so it really doesn't matter much.
