Oops, looks like I selected For Trade instead of For Sale.

Is it true that the v wheels don't fit the Liftback?

    Simply said;

    Prius"v" wheels are Camry sized.

GenIII Prius wheels are Corolla sized.

I'm not sure, is there a way to check w/o taking the tire off?

I do not know how to check...Am guessing these wheels were not from a car you owned....Original owner would be able to answer whether the sensors were removed and the tires remounted...

The value of the wheels/tires is dependent on whether they have still have the tpm sensors installed...I would only be interested if it's verified they are still in each wheel....

If you want to make a serious offer dependent upon the TPMS being installed I'll get one tire unmounted and re-mounted/balanced. Otherwise I'm selling them as is. I do not have a way to get in touch with the previous owner as I did not save his number.

I believe he just took them off his car and did not unmount/remount the tires, but I can not confirm the TPM sensors are present without un-mounting a tire (unless someone has another way to check).

In the Prius v forum, I posted a question concerning how new tpms sensors are synced to the cars system...Below is the answer I received....

The wheel-mounted TPMS sensors are serialized but also serve as transponders that broadcast their serial numbers, which a TPMS scantool can read, which serials can then be entered into the car's TPMS monitoring system. Unfortunately, this doesn't happen automatically (or the TPMS monitoring system might start tracking sensors on adjacent vehicles), so it either requires dealer intervention or a tire shop with the right tools. But it doesn't require breaking down/remounting tires from wheels.
Evidently Toyota and most all larger tire retailers with a TPMS scan tool can sense/read the serial number
of the sensor if there is one installed....as stated in the fellows last sentence of his post....it doesn't require breaking down/remounting tires from the wheels...An option you may wish to entertain is locating a tire retailer that will use their scan tool to verify if the wheels still have the sensors installed.....

I would only be interested if it's verified they are still in each wheel....This still would be my position...
Your $500.00 asking is fair if the sensors are present....I would question the shipping $$$$$$ to Cincinnati before making a total $$$$ commitment..

Good info. I will look into it but it won't be until Thursday at the earliest that I will be able to get them checked out.

I went to Toyota and the service writers were clueless, just like every other time I go there. Not sure why I even bothered.

Went to my usual tire shop and they knew exactly what I was talking about and pulled out the tool. Checked all 4 wheels and the sensors are present.

Also checked on shipping to Cincinnati and I can ship all 4 for about $95.

I will pay your asking price of 500.00 plus 25.00 of the shipping....total of $525.00
    Method of payment....PayPal.

I'll do $525, but could you send it as a gift using paypal balance or checking account? Otherwise just add 3% to cover their fees.
