Other than a 1.5 year stint in El Segundo, CA (bordered by the LAX airport, the Hyperion and the Chevron refinery) I've lived in the OC all my life. That was a tough 1.5 years...commuted over 75 miles per day to and from work. I hated it.

Commute when I'm not flying: 57 miles to lovely Camden NJ. Work for Campbell Soup and unfortuntately that is where the corporate office is located.

Spend sick amount of time in Dallas/FTWorth and Sacramento for work.

I guess my family has moved around more than most. My mother was born in Oregon, grew up in ND and MN, married my dad (who was born and raised in ND), they moved to California, Fresno and somewhere else, then to Montana, in the mountains where I was born, then to the prairie area NE of Billings, then back to northern MN. So that's 4 states for my dad, 5 states for my mom and more towns (always avoided the cities, other than Fresno in the 60's, most towns were well under 1,000 pop.)

Born in Montana, I was raised and went to school in northern Minnesota (by northern, I mean International Falls was our county seat, and it always got to forty below a few times a winter). Out of college went straight to east Texas in July in a car without A/C. Up to then I spent 99% of my life above the 47th parallel (equivalent of Bangor Maine). 22 months in Texas, then 20 months in northern Virginia, then 21 months in NW suburbs of Chicago, then 21 months near Hartford Connecticut, then back to Chicago where I've lived since. So I've lived in 6 states and numerous towns/suburbs, but the cool northwoods of Minnesota is always home for me. B)
