I'd like to get a Garmin GPS for my Prius.
Where can I get the cheapest price on a Garmin?
Which Garmin do you recommend? I'd like to get ecoRoute.

    thanks!

Yes, I like Garmins. Go to their website to see which models are available. Everyone sells GPS units and there are sales every week so just shop around once you decide what you want. I also recommend the bean bag mount as it is easier than reaching forward to stick it to the windshield or side vent window.

I have the model 265WT that I got at Costco for like $200. It has ecoroute and lifetime traffic. The Garmin is quite nice, instant sat. lock, includes the first map update, any of the models that end with "T" have the lifetime traffic.

I've purchased from megagps.com. With Navigon and Maps on my iphone, I've no reason to ever buy a gps device again.

I like Garmins and have a Nuvi 350 and Nuvi 1200 (got it for free from my bank).

Can you be more specific about ecoRoute? My bare bones 1200 has got it as do some other models. See ecoRoute.

But, if you're talking about ecoRoute hd: Transform your nuvi into a real-time diagnostics computer, I spoke to a Garmin rep at CES a few days ago and he mentioned my 1200 wouldn't be compatible with this. One needs to have a current model with Bluetooth as that's how it communicates w/your PND.
