Which charger for Québec 600$ rebate?

    Québec offer a rebate to buy and install a charger in our home. but there is some condition

    -It must cost at least 600$ before taxes
    -it does not include accessories, adapters, garantee or delivery
    -it can include modifying the infrastructure in the home.

    Does somebody has already done the math to find which is the best one in case where:
    -We don't need to modify our home, just buy a charger that cost at least 600$
    -We need breaker, wire and plug installed with a charger.

    Off the top of my head you would have to use a contractor which is allowable as an expense, unless you have an already installed
    30 or 50 wall socket available

    On the same site you will find eligible-expenses

    The list you have shown is what they will accept as manufacturers for charger plug

    As a rough guess using Home depot as an example

    Breaker 2pole 30A pole $35.00
    5 m of cable 10/2 about (NMWU) 6$ per meter this 30A
    5 m 8/3 40A runs about double that, breaker would be a tad higher as well.

    Misc hardware and or boxes a guess on what you would need .

    Labour (Only CMEQ approved contractors) minimum about 2 to 3 hours if they have to put in a socket or that is what they will charge.

    Cheapest charger hi end I say was a leviton one , but that can be a bit less ie pion power is about 439
    if you have a 50A plug laying around .

    The Prime gen 4 or 5 uses 16A at 240 V which per code requires 20 amps .

    I presently charge my gen 4 at 120V in about 6 hours , I am planning to upgrade to a gen 5 but if I do that I will
    put in a 240 charger. In my case it will probably cost a bit more than the $600
