I want to get an extra set of wheels for winter tires on my pip. I've done searches to try to find the wheel weights for all of the different wheels they have offered over the years and I came up empty. All I could find is the weight of the Gen 2 wheel.

    2010 Prius
    15X6J: 5X100mm PCD, 45mm offset
    17X7J: 5X100mm PCD, 50mm offset

    17inch:11.0kg - 24.2 lbs
    15inch: 7.4kg - 16.3 lbs

Later years (2011 and 2012) use different wheels.

    GII
    15 inch 14.3 lbs
    16 inch 15.2 lbs

    5X100 mm holes
    45 mm offset
    6jj rim size
Looks like you can use the GII 15" wheels if you like. They are very light.
I would choose a tyre with an overall diameter the same as your stock ones in the 15" size.

You'll have to "ignore" the TPMS light.

OEM PIP wheel and Goodyear Assurance tire is 37.47 lbs according to my bathroom scale.
According to Tirerack.com the Assurance tire is 19lbs
That would mean the OEM PIP aluminum wheel is 18.47. Thats not much but enough that I think I could save some weight by going with a set of Motegi SP10's.

Or if money is no object you could go to the ecodrive wheels from Rays -

    ce28 ecodrives
    15 inch: 10.1 lbs
    16 inch: 10.8 lbs

Damn $600+ per wheel!? I can buy a heavier set off craigslist for $500 and use the money I saved on fuel. haha.

I like the SP10, but I went for 17s wheels. 14lbs for 15" wheels, 17lbs for 17" wheels. IMHO they look better than the OEMs, I don't know about aerodynamics.

If it was me, I would use the oem's as winter wheels and go 16" or 17" on new wheels for the rest of the year:)
