2012 Prius four with 95000 miles for $12k
    2019 prius L eco with 95000 miles for $18k

I have my heart set on one……not tainting your opinion by saying which one….both have clean carfax with meticulous maintenance being performed. No accidents. Both have been well taken care of.

    The 2019.

Gen 3's have EGR issues. Look on your carfax to see if either of these spent a bunch of time in the northeast salt/rust areas. Also check and see when the first oil change was done (hopefully at 5K - good, but probably at 10K - bad). Check how many miles between oil changes after that. 10K is acceptable for Toyota, but they want you to buy another car after 100K miles.

There's a tax rebate if the 19 was a Prime - I didn't tell you that you could have had 25 miles of EV for the same $$$

For whomever reads this thead next: please understand that Prius batteries degrade over time whether you use them or not. Therefore it is smartest to buy the youngest one you can afford.
