I'm new to this and even though I've seen the package levels, it doesn't make it clear which years/versions have bluetooth streaming music from your phone and which allow you to plug in and play music from your phone. Any help appreciated. Thank you.

After reviewing Toyota’s product info bulletin, we learn that those builds mean the following:

    • Prius I (starting in 2017, this is the base model Prius and possibly the best deal of all its siblings)
    • Prius II – EV mode, driver-side Smart Key System, Touch Tracer Display, Cruise Control, Rear Wiper, Tonneau Cover, passenger side seatback pocket, AM/FM/MP3 CD player with satellite radio antenna, auxiliary audio jack and six speakers
    • Prius III – Model II equipment plus JBL AM/FM/MP3 6-disc CD changer with eight speakers, integrated XM satellite radio capability, hands-free phone capability via Bluetooth® wireless technology
    • Prius IV – Model III equipment plus three-door Smart Key System; leather-trimmed interior; heated front seats with driver lumbar support; step lamp;; driver and front passenger water repellant windows; upgraded front and center pillar trim; plasma cluster; auto dimming mirror and HomeLink®
    • Prius V – Model IV equipment plus 17-inch alloy wheels; LED headlamps with auto leveling and washers and foglamp

So starting at 2010/2012 or so, what are the versions that support phone music via USB and which support phone music via bluetooth. (I don't want to use a 3.5 or whatever headphone jack for example)

Prius v only came in 3, 4 and 5. Never 1 and 2. It was also launched in 2012 so I think you’re looking at the regular Gen 3 Prius (2010-2015).

So, are you looking for the regular Prius or the Prius v wagon?

Ok I’ll check when I get home. I don’t remember the fine details but I do have the brochures and spec sheets

Ok so I've looked into it.

    2012 is the first year.

The base audio does come with USB port with iPod connectivity as well as Bluetooth Audio Streaming.

2015 adds USB 2.0 with iPod connectivity and control as well as bluetooth streaming audio.

So basically, all models have it.

The 2012 v Five supports both USB and BT audio.

When we bought our 2015 v, there was a level 2 offered. A quick check on cars.com indicates level 2 was available in 2012 and 2017 so it was probably available in the whole range. No mention of a level 1.
