My 2008 Prius is almost at 100K miles and I want to replace the Spark Plugs. i plan to stick with Denso / NGK. Rockauto has a few options for Iridium plugs, which are the best ones to get:

DENSO 5303 Iridium Power: $4.72 each

DENSO 4701 Iridium TT: $5.38 each

DENSO 3324 Iridium Long Life: $5.71 each

NGK 5464 Iridium IX: $5.23 each

NGK 4996 Laser Iridium: $5.89 each

Should I use anti-seize? Anyone know the torque specs for the spark plugs on a 2008 Prius?

From the Owner's Manuual, page 431:

Torque spec is 13 foot/pounds from Repair Manual (attached*), I believe it's clean/dry threads, since the manual makes no mention of lubrication. If you use anti-seize, maybe reduce by 25% (recommendation I've read from Permatex).

Still, I think the consensus from plug manufacturers is to not use anti-seize though. FWIW: last time I applied anti-seize very sparingly, then wiped it off the threads thoroughly with a shop towel, presumably leaving a slight amount, and reduced torque from spec by 2 pounds.

    * The Second Gen Repair Manual info is astoundingly better than Third Gen, btw. It manages to show (and it should not be that hard...), in one location: the socket size needed, and the torque spec. Third gen: socket size (14mm) is shown nowhere, and torque spec is off in another section, lumped in with the valve cover info.

Check with dealership parts department too, sometimes Toyota's revised the heat range.

This one is the SK16R11. Do not order them from Amazon. These are very popular for Chinese counterfeits. Purchase them from a reputable dealer or you'll end up with misfire issues 30k miles down the road instead of 100k+ miles.
