First time I switched to parking lights at night.
I was surpriseed to find they are white in color. They don't stand out obvioulsy when regular headlights are on.

Seems like they are perfect for Dayligt Driving Lights except for the Canadian Legal requirement that they come on automatically.

The "amber" parking lights are at the side and still visible from the profile. Toyota split the lights into one forward facing and one side facing.

I don't know what the minimum lumens a DRL bulb must be. I'd rather have the indicators as DRLs. That way, they can be bright yet they won't blind anyone because they're softer amber (as opposed to white/yellow on the high beams) and they're mounted lower.

I really appreciate Tideland Prius opinion. What lights does Toyota use to implement DRL in Canada.

I was thinking of the amber lights on the front corners as side markers, even though they are visible from front as well.

I guess I should turn on the parking lights in the day and drive toward them to see if I feel blinded.

I put LED truck lights in place of the plastic fog light covering.
