I recently picked up my 2010 II, I got it out of necessity as I work out of town during the week and it was costing me over $600.00 monthly to drive my much loved 1997 F150, my ole pal has served me faithfully for 278,000miles, but this long distance commute is a recent thing and looks like long term thing.
I kept my truck as I viewed the Prius as just a tool, to get me from point A to point B as cheaply as possible, I wasn't counting on liking the car as much as I do, I have moved the truck once in a month and that was to put 1/2 a tank of gas ( $50.00 ) in it, I have started to think I should have traded it in on a 2012, oh well I do live just 2-1/2 hours from the Outer Banks and I plan on using the truck for surf fishing.

I moved from a 2001 Subaru Forester SUV to a 2009 Prius, because 46 MPG is nicer than 24. Now I have a 2012 Prius v station wagon and am getting 41.

I went from AWD Escape Hybrid (great car) to the 2012 Prius.

I'm a skier so the test will be this winter. I'm giving the Prius every advantage with Nokian Hakkapeliitta R snow tires...."studless supremacy". I had Nokian WRG's on the Escape even with the AWD.

I did the snow tour previously with a Pontiac Gran Prix with Michelin Pilots snows and it worked great so I have high hopes for the Prius but it will have to get the job done.

    Waiting on the snow.

I drive my SUV on rainy days and all winter while my Prius sits inside the garage. It's OK to have a thirsty vehicle and a sensible Prius :)

I keep my Y2k F250 diesel for hauling and towing the m/c trailer and slide in camper. I try to take out the truck 1x / month. Otherwise my DD is the Prius.

I had a 4X4 SUV (2000 4Runner) for 10 years and 305,000 miles. The Prius handles just as good with snow tires. The only difference is the clearance. You will get stuck in high snow compared to a truck.

These are the pics I used to sell it. You can see the shiny new Prius in the back.

This was my 300,000 pic. I am getting close to 100,000 on the 2010 Prius.

I moved from a JeepGC. I thought I would miss the hauling room but the Prius has sufficed most of the time. Have never looked back and loving my Prius.

I'm trading my 2012 Ram 2500 Powerwagon in on a Plug-In today. I plan on buying a beater truck to plow and haul my motorcycle when necessary.

Came from a 2009 Mercury Mariner AWD hybrid (small suv) getting 25 - 30 mpg.

My travel for work and my passion for surfing is been my main concern adding up at the end of each month my carbon footprint.

After trading the Mariner in, Im doubling my mpg on my Prius, saving money, keeping the air clean(er), and both my longboard and shortboard fit in my Prius.

I couldn't ask for more and could not go back to another vehicle.

Now, if I could only find a decent price on trading in my wife's 2008 camry for a hybrid camry...:)

I have driven trucks for many years. The last real car was a 1991 Saturn SL1.
I still have my 4x4 2007 Tacoma for truck stuff, camper hauling and the soon to be snowy days.
My wife has a Highlander. The Prius actually has more room behind the seats than the Highlander.

I love driving such a small car again. Feel all sporty in it. :)
Plus I can park in normal parking spots at the stores again (The 4 door Tacoma doesn't fit well in normal spots.)
No more walking 1/2 mile from the pull through "truck parking area" you see in stores parking lots.

I replaced my GS450h with my Prius, but at the same time had the 07 MDX. Since owning the Prius, I had to look for excuses to drive my MDX, and mostly it was because I couldn't let the MDX sat in the garage for too long (7-10 days). A sign that told me to sell my MDX was that I put only half tank of gas in, afraid that gas will go bad if I filled it full :). That was how little I driven my MDX while owning the Prius. But at 17mpg of premium for the MDX comparing to Prius' 50mpg, I sold my MDX recently. I love the MDX, but made the right, wise, and conscious decision :)

We retired our '96 Subaru AWD to beater, bad snow and hauling duty in 2004 when the first Prius came home. It is still retired, but always willing to go out for a spin.

Donated my 1994 Explorer, 15 MPG, for 2010 Prius II, about 45-50 MPG. The biggest thing I miss with my Explorer is that it can carry 4'x8' sheets of plywood. I have to cut the sheets in half to put it in my Prius. The other thing is that I sit higher in the Explorer so can see better.

    Traded n my Pilot EX-L 4WD. Couldn't be happier. 50mpg vs 20mpg.

And I also like the car much more than I thought I would.

Yep -- just about the only thing I have wanted to transport and not been able. If I was going to transport plywood often I would invest in a roof rack
