OK so I think I want to put side window deflectors on to keep the rain out when windows are open a little and it may help with the sun in my eyes........... who has put them on?

I put the channel type in and love them. Combine them & a heatshield windshield reflector and the car stays surprisingly cool. One thing to consider is that the front windows can be the only ones cracked open. The way the rears are designed (window not the deflector), leaves a small gap along the back side for rain to get in that cannot be protected.

I'm the same as CygnusX-1. Channel type. Didn't notice until the other day that when you lower the back windows, there isa gap. The fronts work great with my solar powered sun roof.

I installed the front and rear from WeatherTech, they are a German made/sourced product. Very satisfied.

I ordered a set of "AVS Ventvisor Window Deflectors" from autoanything.com sku: 3694225 part no. 94181 for $48.16 shipped over a year ago and I gotta say I love them. They are an awesome looking accent, very functional, and fit perfectly to the shape of the windows. They are stick ons and show no sign of wear or loosening. They come with high quality 3m tape so I'm pretty sure they will never fall off by themselves even in our hot Florida sun.

Hard to see in the pic but...

I also have the AVS or auto vent shade and love them. had them on my last vehicle for over ten years and never came close to coming off. if applied properly they arent going anywhere.

also search around a little bit. some users here report that the "in channel" defectors can stretch the channel a bit and then your window wont seal anymore.

also, the AVS ones are about half the price of the others.

I have the JDM Toyota visors. The 3m tape was SOLID. I only had them on for a few weeks before I traded in the car but they were great. I'm gonna put them on the new car after I get my windows tinted

I believe you will find Weathertech products are designed and manufactured right here in the USA: Weathertech.

As for the visors, I have visors I purchased on eBay (AVS? HKsomething?) I never noticed the color change from UV exposure until the stick-on logos came off. It's not enough to bother me (they're hardly purple), it was just interesting to see.

Just want to make sure I am interpreting those pictures of the AVS deflectors right. Do they not install inside the window channel like the weathertech ones? That seems like a huge downside and a recipe for future leaks.

Care to share? I'm not seeing any such codes, nor do I see a spot to enter any codes in their checkout process...

No they do not install in the channel (A plus as far as I'm concerned as they will not damage your liner) Leaking is a non-issue
