WILL FERRELL INSULTED PRIUS ON LENO'S SHOW

    Jay Leno was teasing Will about being so scared when he was given a fast ride around the Talladega track.

    And Will said "I normally drive a Prius, so I'm lucky if I boost that sucker up to 50mpg". I just hated hearing him say such a thing. I hope he heard from alot of Prius people - if anyone actually knows where to write to tell him off let me know.

    I wonder if alot of people think that about Prius. ??? Anyone know?

    People just need thicker skin. I don't see how I am supposed to take offense to that comment, anyways!

    I think anyone who has any idea of who Ferrell is would know that 98% of what he says is a joke, and comedy's always at someone's expense. Hard to be insulted by that IMHO. I'll laugh alll the way home from the gas station...

    He said he hardly gets up to 50 MPH, and it was hardly an insult. Come on it is Will Ferrell, never take him serious.

    You are So right! Must be this summer cold I'm dealing with.... I'm new at this Prius thing. And - I keep seeing comments about "getting stuck behind the pokey Prius" - like we're all little old ladies who can't drive past 50 MPH. Well I really am a little old lady, but I'm too busy to be pokey; AND I drove a stock car at Atlanta Motor Speedway at 140 MPH. I was not a ride-along like Will".
    Put on list: charge up sense of humor. And I am looking forward to seeing the movie with my NASCAR fan family.

    I must have completely missed that comment. I only remember him saying he got it up to 110 mph, then the car fell apart around him and all he had left was the streering wheel.

    In the context, I thought it was pretty funny. I am not sure if Will is ever really serious. I think the message that he sends when he drives one when he could drive any car he wanted says how much he likes it.

    I think that it is great when stars use their celeb for something other than making themselves look good. I'd rather laugh along with Ferrel than watch Arnie running through town in his Hummer.
