Help! Haven't signed in for a while. We own a 2004 prius, has about 55k miles now.
Recently when I shifted into reverse, it pop back into neutral. When I got hope and hit park it did not
shift into park, had to power off in gear. Any ideas? We do have an appointment with the dealer, but not until Friday.

Are you sure you had your foot on the brake when you shifted to reverse?

Power off puts your car in park Automatically.

What happens when you power it up again?

Perhaps the brake pedal position sensor is failing.
