I'm considering purchase a 2002 prius from dealer, the mileage is about 108000 miles. I want know if the battery will be a problem because change battery is not cheap. From the carfax report, the previous owner do maintenance inspection every half year. How should I check the battery condition. If need to change battery, how much will I pay for the batter. Thank you

have the dealer guarantee the batteries for a certain amount of time or get him to quote you a deal on batteries IF they have to be replaced. I wouldn't take deal without one of these options.

I just reached 150000 miles on my 2002 prius. I had to trailer it home. I put a code reader on it and got a p3006. That means a problem with the main battery. It is a risk we take with used cars.
