    What do you recommend ?

I've heard Huper Optik is good - 399. dollars......as well as dealer tinting. 214. dollars (Alamo Toyota in San Antonio)
    Any advice appreciated.
driving a new '07 Prius package 5, with Nav.

don't want the tinting to interfere with the nav. system.

    Thanks -

Bite the bullet and go to Mother's for the $399 Huper Optik ceramic. Huper Optik isn't just good ... it's great. No Nav interference here, but I can't say other tints would have interfered either. We went straight for the Huper.

I got the Huber Optics last year at Mothers and we got a discount for having 3 Prii done. It was in Austin
but you might see if anyone else wants to do a group buy.

Also note that most dealers don't do tint themselves; they outsource it to a tint shop. You're better off cutting out the middleman.

Which line of Huper Optik did you use? There are a couple of different ones on their site. The Security one is not appropriate, the Traditional appears to be metallic. that leaves the Select and the Ceramic? Anybody know which is more appropriate for our purposes? My installer is not familiar with the brand.

I have the Huper Optik Selecht DREI on both my cars. Some people say the metallic interferes with the Nav sysytem, but I've havent noticed anything like that. The DREI is quite a bit better than the ceramic and it looks better also

The dealership recommended a guy who travels around and does it right there at the dealership. It wasn't very expensive. Especially not as much as the prices posted here. I believe that I paid less than $300.
