    Hiya

In my neighborhood there's an upholstery place on the corner of Washington Blvd and Wilson Blvd behind the Goodyear called "Sure-Fit". I'm not certain that they do tinting, but I've seen more than half a dozen Prius's go in there for leather, and they looked like they did a REALLY nice job. Most Prii I've seen there had dealer tags on them, so I'm sure they know what they're doing when it comes to working on Prii :)

... They also do custom sunroofs - hmm....

I just checked their website and it doesn't list tint. Anyone else in Northern VA have a good tint shop? I found one in Alexandria but they have 3 complaints with the BBB in the last year. I'm willing to drive as far as Winchester.

I travelled from Woodbridge to Lynchburg for my window tinting! Didn't know of anyone having a good experience in any particular tint shop close by, and wanted to find someone who had tinted a Prius. Got a referral from fellow PC member Unruhly, called and made an appointment, and I'm happy with the results.

It's a long haul, but the car was very, very new and I thought the trip down and back would give us a chance to bond. And we did. :)

How long did it take and what was the cost? I go through Lynchburg frequently and my windows are still naked! Thanks in advance.

The work took a lot less time than the drive down and back! :)

The estimate was 3 hours - I was out in less than 2-and-a-half. The job cost $180 - at the time, there was a discount coupon on their website.

I like the job they did. My only other experience with getting windows tinted was on a '98 Malibu, done at a very local tint shop, and it wasn't a good job. This looks sharp, and is starting to make a big difference now that warmer weather has arrived.

The installer is Joseph Wheaton - good guy, and good work. The website has his email address, if you have any questions about the products they carry, scheduling the work, etc.

They charged under $200.00. Use the link above that GreenGene provided. You'll find the phone number and a $10 off coupon on their web site. It took about 3 hours. It could have been quicker, but I told 'em up front I was in no hurry and I BS'd with 'em while they were doing the work.
