You may have clearance issues with that offset and a wheel that wide. You'll also take a large hit in mpg. I'd stick with a 7" wheel and a 40 offset +- a few mm.

these wheels Volk TE-37 rip-offs, the real deal Volk wheels are often traded by Rays, and the type are known to be very lightweight, the rip-ofs generally arent.

VarrsToen rims dont appear in any weight data Ive seen and they dont post it on the link you provide, so their weight is an unknown. Weight is one of the most important attributes in alternative wheels as performance is adversley affected by heavier wheel/tyre combinations that stray too far from stock weights (which are pretty light)

If you go over 15lbs wheel weight you have already made a negative performance contribution. The lightest Volk TE-37 (look identical) are 17x7.5 and weigh 15lbs. However to the best of our knowledge you would still take a performance hit and the rotating mass is further out from the centre.

heres a list of 17" rims to work with

no problem, there is around 20mm clearance space on the rears, 15mm up front
besides some people would argue a Prius looks pretty funny anyway ;)

I saw this around the traps
    stock sizes and offsets
    17inch:11.0kg 17X7J, 5x100 PCD, offset=50
    15inch: 7.4kg 15X6J, 5x100 PCD, offset=45
