Good on 'em. Hopefully they'll bump up the time line or increase the percentage. 3 years ago in Colorado we approved a 10% by 2015. This year the Guv and legislature bumped it to 20% by 2015. Hopefully they'll double it again in 3 years. ;)

Oregon's a funny state. They passed the first bottle bill, and then didn't change it for years. This legislative session (bi-annual with citizen legislators) they MAY add plastic water bottles. How are these different from the plastic bottles filled with carbonated water and flavor???

I hope they pass the renewable energy bill. I buy green electricity anyway, but everybody should.

Lads, I think it's already passed, no? This thing started life as a Senate bill and the House just overwhelmingly passed it. The Gov was behind it from the beginning so, assuming he signs it, it's a done deal. Right? Did I miss something?

I'm confused. Oregon already gets 68% of it's electricity from hydroelectric dams. Are these not renewable energy sources?

Perhaps it's an emissions thing. Large scale hydro isn't nearly as green as most people thing, particularly in tropical areas.
