I commute 200 miles a day, (avg. 53mpg by the way). I installed XM in my 2005 Prius last year, and it's great. However, I have found its traffic status channel either too late in information or incomplete in a number of cases. I see XM is now in collaboration with Navtraffic. Has anyone had experience or know how to add this to the existing, already installed XM box? They have an aftermarket product which also provides it's own screen. But I would rather just add the feature onto the existing GPS/NAV hardware built in.
    Thanks

I don't think you can. The aftermarket units are nav systems that have the XM radio integrated into it. The nav system in the Prius is not like that. You would have to get one of those aftermaket nav systems, plus you'd have to pay for an extra XM radio in addition to the extra $12.95 a month for NavTraffic.
