I have a Pkg #6 Prius and was wondering if anyone could tell me what is involved in setting up the sattelite radio? Has anyone done this with a pkg #6 and what is the cost - up front and monthly? Sorry if I am posting this in the wrong spot - this is my first time posting.:)

Welcome to the club!!! Personally I have been a XM junkie for years. I boght the after market Toyota XM kit. It came with a 3 month free coupon. If you have it already you should have gotten a note for your 3 free months. If you go to XM.com you cam find out about subscriptions. I have 4 in different locations, great source of music!!!

Toyota.com lists the XM radio for 449.00 msrp installed. XM.com says the first subscription in a family is 12.95 a month, there is a discount for multiple subscriptions. Don't forget to ask for the free 3 months.

I have had my 2008 Prius for just over a week now and am extremely happy with it. I read in a brochure in the glove box you can add XM Radio at a cost but I only have the standard Toyota Radio. Can one add XM to the present system or do you need to have a JBL sound system to do this?

    Thanks
