Well, i finally got word that they are going to fix my nav screen under warranty. they are saying it's a 'one-time' repair because there is a crack, and i can see their point, that if i am beating up on the thing, they won't keep fixing it. but I know i'm not doing that, so it should not be a problem...

    yay!!

If you get any lip or trouble from these people, I can always get my rusty pliers out of retirement.

the price of the nav screen is enough to choke a horse. Approx $2700 USD

$2,700 is I'd bet the MSRP. The MSRP for my power steering pump was $925 from a dealer, but I later found out that their cost was $400.

Danny's correct that is the MSRP probably about 1300 is cost. Sill you could buy a pretty big pile of Palm's for 1300 bucks.

not only that, but if they had insisted on not covering it under the warranty (it developed a hairline crack and they say it could have been 'abused' and that physical damage is not covered) $2700 would have been what they wanted ME to pay!
