I wonder how often a reply which looks senseless is because the replier has someone on ignore and missed a prior comment which ends up making their reply look stupid or ignorant.

It's not a coincidence that the word ignorance is derived from ignore.

Just out of curiosity I temporarily tried the ignore feature on galaxee and [y.o.u.]. It neither made me feel better informed or morally superior.
