Well, I happened to check my local dealer's inventory yesterday and they had exactly what I want coming in - Tideland Package 6. Being a SouthEast distributor, they added all kinds of crap that I wouldn't want on mine (though the carbon fiber dash looks awesome and I'm going to look into doing a Group Buy for us), and it's $31,000 - which I refuse to pay, but it was great to take it around for a spin!

    Details on the car

It had just been taken off the truck when I arrived and had 2 miles on it when I got in....

I'll finish this post off by saying that they are going to call me with an appraisal on my MR2 soon, so it'll be intersting to hear how much they will give me for it. I plan on buying mine from one of the dealers that I've come in contact with through PriusChat, so if any of the dealers out there are listening: I hope to be in the market for a 2005 Tideland #6 by April!

Very Pretty! Thanks for posting the details. The carbon fiber panel looks interesting.

The drive was nice, only about 8 miles because I was on my lunch break and also the car had NO gas in it so the last bar was blinking the whole, causing the car to shudder while accelerating. Any other potential buyer would not have been impressed.

Here's a bigger pic of the carbon fiber dash:

That is a nicely tricked out Prius. The carbon fiber is interesting. I would need to see one live to be sure

The carbon fiber is nice... I wish such extras were offered here. My next Prius will be more loaded, I think.

I picked up my Tideland #6 last Saturday. I was thrilled to see that it had NO dealer-added accoutrements. $26,666 was the sticker, and that's what I paid. Mine had 1 mile on it. I don't know how they do that, but that's what the ODO said.

I was actually very impressed with all of the tangible add-ons - leather, mudguards, & carbon fiber, but I refuse to pay $699 for that ToyoGuard, the generic bumper protector (not actual Prius one), $259 for a light tint job, and the $79 ashtray.

Toyo Guard Plus Protection Group-XY70 $699

I would charge them for the ash tray and donate it to the American Heart Association. But then I am a Doc and spend a lot of time trying to get people off nicotine. It is tough. I have seen young women 3 or 6 hours after a Cesarean Section Pushing there IV pole out into the rain in the PNW to smoke. This is despite offering nicotine patches. The patches do not deliver the drug hit of smoking. I will not give up! :guns:

31K with no NAV or JBL? Pooh!
Blinking pip with only 10 miles on it after your test drive? Shouldn't shudder, except sometimes when ICE shuts down.

Hooray Danny! That carbon fiber dash looks kinda nifty, depending on price of course.

For the amount of work you've done on this site for so many connections of buyers - dealers, and for info as well, maybe these dealers can pull together and donate a Prius to you? :)

Probably not likely, but if anyone deserves it, it's you!

$31k is with the JBL & Navigation - looks like it's sold, I can't find it in their online inventory anymore.

I'll be looking for a generous dealer very soon :)

My 2005 Package 6 came with the carbon fiber dash and I have had lots of comments on how nice it looks. Just adds a little more to the geek look which is a-okay with me.

Make sure that anyone appraising your MR2 never sees the pictures you posted of the engine overhaul. :-D
