I bought a Prius to replace my 1500 cc, 1999 Honda Valkyrie Interstate with 6 cylinders, 6 carbureters and 38 mpg for our 1 to 2 month road trips. I thoroughly understand "the horse sweating between your thighs." After over 88,000 miles riding this ...

At age 65, I need a little redundancy.

 

The night vision seems kinda cool, with the lights off and an electric motor, you can go undetected. Blind spot detection doesn't hurt either.

 

I was surprised that the "power window and door lock" were not on the list.
I can compile my own list, which will be very different from that one.
To each one's own.

This was such a ridiculous article. You could use this argument to deem every bit of technology to be "redundant." For example, "The printing press is redundant. Humans are perfectly capable of expressing themselves through cave paintings." This standard does nothing to tell us whether these technologies are actually good.

 

So what? I think the web publisher misunderstands the meaning of "redundant." Cranking off on things you personally don't like isn't demonstrating anything but an opinion.

 

Web design is amateur and irritating. If the critic is high-tech-type guy, he has some learning to do.

 

The article made me laugh. Check out the 2010 Prius review by the same author.

 

Not a bad review considering how he drove it and what he was trying to compare it to. If you feel unsafe driving fast in heavy rain your driving to fast and at least you know it.

 

I've read that guy's writeups on cars and I actually think I can do a better job. His list was such a joke. Maybe we should make him drive a 1982 Corollla for a week. I'd think that'll make him happy.

I'm all for redundancy. I'll ask the author if he doesn't like redundancy in the aircraft he flies either. What a schmuck!!!

 

Looking at his review of the Prius, well, it was a review - no better or worse than average.
I was personally impressed by the average intelligence level of the comments on the site. Most places around the net seem to have countless users going out of their way to bash and spew hate in the direction of the Prius.
The majority of those commenting recognized the car for what it is, and didn`t toss around comparisons to sports cars or the power of an SUV, etc. People making that comparison were called out on it fairly quickly.

I thought that site looked to have a really good community - people who care about cars even if it`s not the type of car they would drive.

 

It nice to be number 1. Someone actually wants to write something negitive about you.

It's a Toyota, The leader in the Automotive world and the drive to go where no man has gone be for.
