    ALLCON,

ZAP and Lotus have teamed up to create a new BEV. This on looks good with 4wd and in wheel motors and 350mile range. This car looks HOT for a four door AWD. Greencarcongress has the announcement.

"First phase" ... another term for concept, I'm afraid.

While, indeed, it is mostly concept...there's a lot more of these "concepts" coming out that appear much more than fanciful "vehicles of the future". Where there's smoke there's fire. Battery technology is catching up, hybrids have proven that people are willing to accept new technology and Toyota and Honda have proven that hybrids are durable and reliable. Pure EVs and/or PHEVs are the next logical step.
