While at the Prius v media preview last week, we took the opportunity to shoot some HD video to show off the various aspects of the Prius v. In this video we breakdown the flexible and fantastic interior cargo space that the 2012 Prius v offers. With up to 67.3 cu. ft of cargo space available, the Prius v is larger than 80% of small SUVs.

As a former 2006 and current 2010 Prius owner, I've come to appreciate and depend upon the versatility that the Prius' hatchback design provides. But recent road trips with our new baby daughter, our dog, and all of the extra space-taking items had me looking at options outside of the Prius. Then in January, Toyota revealed the 2012 Prius v (pronounced vee), the first addition to the growing Prius family. More cargo space? Check. More passenger space? Check check. 44 City / 40 Highway MPG? Checkmate. The Prius v specs show a lot of promise and is a potential game-changer for families who had been previously forced to move to an SUV. Here's a great CGI video provided by Toyota of the resin roof available on the 2012 Prius v. The resin roof is 40% lighter than conventional glass roofs and has a much higher heat insulation factor than glass or steel. Plus it looks really cool.

Two weeks after puzzle packages were first sent out to 50 of the web's biggest Prius fans, the pieces have finally fallen into place and we have a better picture of what the Prius v wagon will be all about. So here's what we can gather from the completed puzzle:

Toyota kicked off their 3rd teaser for the upcoming Prius V by FedEx'ing 50 puzzle pieces to "some of the most influential people in the Prius community". It looks like I'm lucky to be considered fairly influential, because I just received my package a few minutes ago from the FedEx man.

Toyota has posted here on PriusChat 2 pieces of a new puzzle that will eventually reveal another (apparently interior) shot of the upcoming new Prius family member. They are going to post new pieces each day and it'll be up to the PriusChat community to put the pieces together. I've put the first 2 pieces together above, but be sure to keep track of the PriusChat forum thread below to view new pieces as they are posted each day.
