Millenium Silver, Tideland Pearl, & Salsa Red Prius owners - Side Moldings for $85 shipped
Submitted by Danny on July 7, 2009 - 10:46am.

I'm looking to clear out some stock to make room for 2010 parts, so all you 2004 & 2005 owners can make out like bandits on a great Prius accessory. I have a few remaining Millennium Silver Metallic (paint code 1C0), Tideland Pearl (paint code 6S9), and Salsa Red (paint code 3Q3) Prius Side Body Moldings that I'm selling for the very very cheap price of $85 shipped within the US. International members please email or PM me for a shipping quote.
That's almost $40 off the regular price of these moldings.

Toyota to mass produce plug-in hybrids starting in 2012
Submitted by Danny on July 7, 2009 - 9:52am.

Toyota Motor Corp plans to start mass producing plug-in hybrid vehicles in 2012, with a projected first-year output of about 20,000 to 30,000 units, the Nikkei business daily reported on Saturday.
No word on how many will reach the U.S., or when sales will start here. Toyota has said the vehicle will be powered by lithium-ion batteries developed and produced by its joint venture with Panasonic. The cars would be able to run up to 18 miles on battery power alone before a backup gas powerplant kicked in.
Prius Sales Jump 258% in Japan in June
Submitted by Danny on July 7, 2009 - 9:32am.

Sales of the Prius, which was remodelled in mid-May, jumped 258 percent to 22,292 units from the year-earlier month, data from the Japan Automobile Dealers Association showed.
TOKYO (AP) -- Toyota's Prius hybrid -- already Japan's highest-selling car -- more than doubled its sales in June to claim the top spot for a second month, reflecting government tax breaks and growing popularity of products viewed as environmentally friendly.
Prius Sales Up 6% in June - Only Toyota With Positive Increase
Submitted by Danny on July 1, 2009 - 1:16pm.

In it's first month on the block, the 2010 Prius is looking to be solid seller for Toyota - at least compared to the rest of the line-up. With sales of 12,998 cars, Toyota sold 6% more Prius models in June than they did in June 2008. Not too shabby considering the gas situation of June 2008.
The Prius is also the only Toyota with a positive increase compared to June 2008. The RAV4 had a 0.6% increase, but that's small enough to call a wash. Year To Date sales are still down roughly 39%.
